How it works
How to use the Social Card Preview
-
Write the title and description
Type what you want people to see; the counters warn when a network will cut it short.
-
Add an image
Upload an image or paste an image URL; 1200 × 630 pixels works everywhere.
-
Copy the tags
When the cards look right, copy the Open Graph and Twitter tags into your page.
How long should a social card title be?
Aim for 40 to 60 characters. Facebook and LinkedIn show about two lines of title, X shows one or two, and WhatsApp shows one line before cutting it.
How long should the description be?
Around 100 to 150 characters. Many cards show the description in one or two lines, and LinkedIn and X often hide it entirely.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is read by your browser and shown in the previews; it never leaves your computer. To use it on your site, upload it to your own server and put its address in og:image.
