Redirect Checker
see every hop
Paste a URL to follow its redirect chain the way a browser or search engine would. You see each hop with its HTTP status code and response time, and where the link finally lands.

Redirect chain
We fetch the URL from our server and show only what we read from it. URLs are not stored. Up to 15 checks a minute.
How it works
How to use the Redirect Checker
-
Paste the URL
Enter any link — a short link, an old page address or a tracking URL.
-
Run the check
We request the URL and follow each redirect, one hop at a time, up to ten hops.
-
Read the chain
Each hop shows its status code, response time and the next address; the last one is the final destination.
What is the difference between a 301 and a 302 redirect?
A 301 is a permanent redirect: browsers may cache it and search engines move ranking signals to the new address. A 302 (and 307) is temporary: the original URL stays the one that is indexed. 308 is the permanent version that keeps the request method.
How many redirects are too many?
Keep chains to one hop where you can. Every extra redirect adds a round trip for visitors, and Google stops following after about ten hops. This checker stops at ten too.
Why does the result differ from what I see in my browser?
Some sites redirect by country, device or language, or set cookies on the first visit. The checker sends no cookies and connects from our server, so it sees what a first-time visitor without cookies would see. JavaScript and meta refresh redirects are not followed.
Do you store the URLs I check?
No. The URL is fetched once to answer your request and is not saved. Addresses on private networks are refused.
