A code with its own address
Each QR code encodes its own unguessable https://letl.ink/q/… URL, not the short link itself. On a link that uses your custom domain, the code encodes that domain instead.
Trackable QR codes
Letlink makes dynamic QR codes for your short links: every scan passes through Letlink first, is recorded as a click tagged `qr`, and then lands on whatever destination the link has today.
Short answer
QR code tracking means the code encodes a short redirect URL instead of the final page, so each scan can be recorded before the visitor is sent on. In Letlink every QR code has its own letl.ink/q/… address tied to a short link; a scan is stored as a click with the variation `qr`, with its time, country, device, operating system and browser, and the link’s destination can be changed after printing. Free includes 3 tracked QR codes, Solo 200 at $3.90 a month, Growth 1,000 and Ultimate unlimited.
Features
Each QR code encodes its own unguessable https://letl.ink/q/… URL, not the short link itself. On a link that uses your custom domain, the code encodes that domain instead.
Every scan is recorded with the variation `qr`, so a link’s stats page shows QR scans and their share of the total next to the clicks from emails, posts and ads — without a second short code.
The code points at a short link, and the short link points at your page. Edit the link’s destination and every printed copy follows; the pattern on paper never changes.
Country for each scan from an IP lookup, with top-country breakdowns. VPNs and mobile carriers can show the network’s exit rather than the person’s location.
Device type, brand and model, operating system and browser for every scan, so you can see the iPhone and Android split of a poster or a package.
The When people click card names the busiest hour and weekday above two histograms, and the daily trend shows the peak day of a print campaign.
Crawlers and preview fetchers are never counted as scans. With Block bots on, the default, they never reach your destination either.
Set the code and background colours (dark on light, with a contrast check) and upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP logo under 2 MB; error correction is raised automatically when a logo is added.
Use cases
A flyer, poster or box insert finally has a number next to it: how many scans, on which days, and what share of the link’s traffic came from paper.
Give each placement its own link and code, then compare scan counts side by side in the workspace Analytics table.
Hour-of-day and weekday patterns show when people actually stop and scan, which is useful for events, shop windows and trade stands.
A typo in the destination or a page that moved is a link edit, not a reprint.
In the link builder, paste the page the code should open and save. A free account works; no card is needed.
Open the link and generate a QR code from its page. Choose colours and add your logo if you want one.
Download a PNG for screens or an SVG for print, then scan the printed proof with an iPhone and an Android phone before the run.
Open the link’s stats page: QR scans appear with their share of total clicks, and you can filter the `qr` variation in CSV exports.

Mobile app
Create short links, watch clicks arrive live and design QR codes from your phone. Free on iPhone, iPad and Android.
A trackable QR code encodes a short redirect URL rather than the final page. When a phone scans it, Letlink records the scan as a click — time, country, device, operating system, browser — tags it with the variation `qr`, and then redirects to the link’s current destination. The free plan includes 3 tracked QR codes.
A static QR code stores its content in the pattern itself, so it cannot be edited or counted. A dynamic QR code stores a short redirect URL, so you can change the destination at any time and see every scan. Letlink QR codes attached to short links are dynamic; the separate free generator at /free-qr-code-generator makes static ones.
Yes. The code points at a Letlink short link, so editing that link’s destination changes where every printed copy goes. Do not archive the link or delete the QR code while copies are in circulation: either makes the printed code stop resolving.
Free includes 3 QR codes, Solo 200 at $3.90 a month, Growth 1,000 at $8.90 and Ultimate unlimited at $39.90. Each short link has one QR code, and deleting a code frees its slot. Scans count toward the plan’s tracked clicks: 1,000 a month on Free, 10,000 on Solo, 100,000 on Growth and unlimited on Ultimate.
Yes. Scans arrive through the code’s own /q/… address and are recorded with the variation `qr`. A link’s stats page shows QR scans and their share of the link’s total, and CSV exports carry the variation column so you can filter them.
No. Letlink records what scanned — country, device, operating system and browser — not who. It does not identify people, set cookies on the redirect or sell visitor data. Unique visitors are counted by a hash of IP address and user agent, so treat them as directional.
Codes keep working. Past the monthly tracked-click allowance, scans still redirect but are not recorded until the next calendar month. Ultimate has no monthly cap.
