Real estate QR code tracking for signs, window cards and flyers

Letlink gives every sign, window card and flyer its own trackable QR code that opens the listing page, so you can see which placement draws scans, hear about them as they happen, and point the same sign at the next property.

Short answer

A real estate QR code is a code on a sign, window card or flyer that opens a property listing on the passer-by’s phone. In Letlink each code opens a short link, so giving each sign its own link lets you compare scans by placement, see the hour, weekday and device of each scan, get a Slack, Teams or Telegram message on every scan from Solo, and repoint the sign to the next listing when the property sells. Solo includes 200 QR codes and 10,000 tracked clicks a month for $3.90.

Features

What tracked QR codes do for listings

One code per sign

Each short link carries one QR code, so a link per yard sign, window card and flyer batch shows which placement people actually scan.

A message on every scan

From Solo, connect Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat or Telegram and get a message for each recorded click on the link; Slack messages include the device and the `qr` variation.

Repoint the sign to the next listing

When a property sells, edit the link’s destination to the next listing or your listings page. The sign and its code go straight back up.

When buyers look

The busiest hour and weekday for each sign, plus the daily trend — useful for timing open houses and follow-ups.

What they scan with

Device type, operating system and browser for each scan, so you know how the listing page needs to look on the phones that open it.

Your brokerage domain in the code

From Solo, a link on your own domain makes the code encode go.yourbrokerage.com/q/… instead of letl.ink.

Shared across the office

On Growth, up to 5 agents share links, codes and scan numbers in one workspace; Ultimate allows 50.

Use cases

Where agents put listing QR codes

Yard and for-sale signs

A code per sign opens the listing for anyone walking or driving past. Make it big enough to scan from the pavement: roughly a tenth of the scanning distance, so about 30 cm for 3 metres.

Office window cards

A code per card, so you can see which properties in the window draw scans and at what time of day.

Flyers and open-house handouts

A separate code for each print batch or neighbourhood drop shows which one people responded to.

Reusable sign riders

A rider with a code that you repoint for each new property instead of printing a new one.

Step by step

How to add a tracked QR code to a property sign

  1. Create a link per placement

In the link builder, paste the listing page and save. Repeat for each sign, window card or flyer batch you want to compare, and give each a title you will recognise.

  2. Generate the codes

Open each link, generate its QR code in your brand colours and download an SVG for the sign maker.

  3. Turn on scan alerts

On Solo or above, open Integrations → Slack (or Teams, Discord, Google Chat or Telegram) and connect a channel you use for leads.

  4. Repoint when it sells

Edit the link’s destination to the next listing. Do not archive the link or delete the code while the sign is out — either makes the printed code stop working.

FAQ

QR codes for real estate signs: questions and answers

How do I put a QR code on a real estate sign?

Create a Letlink short link to the listing page, generate a QR code from the link’s page, and send the SVG to your sign maker. Give each sign its own link if you want to compare them. The free plan includes 3 codes; Solo includes 200 for $3.90 a month.

Can I reuse a sign’s QR code for the next listing?

Yes. The code opens a short link, so editing that link’s destination sends every scan of the sign to the new listing. Scan history stays on the same link, so note the date you switched if you want to report per property.

Can I get notified when someone scans my sign?

Yes, from Solo. Connect Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat or Telegram and Letlink posts a message for every recorded click on the link — scans and ordinary clicks alike; Slack messages show the device and the `qr` variation. Alerts stop for the month if the workspace passes its tracked-click allowance — 10,000 on Solo.

Can I see who scanned the QR code?

No. Letlink records the time, device, operating system and country of each scan, not the person. To hear from a buyer, the listing page the code opens needs its own enquiry form or contact details.

How big should a QR code on a yard sign be?

Make the code about one tenth as wide as the distance people scan from: about 30 cm for someone 3 metres away. Keep it dark on a light background with a clear margin, and test the printed sign with an iPhone and an Android phone before it goes up.

Which plan suits an agent or a brokerage?

A single agent with a handful of signs fits Free (3 codes) or Solo (200 codes, 10,000 tracked clicks a month, scan alerts and your own domain) at $3.90 a month. An office that shares listings needs Growth at $8.90: 5 seats, 1,000 codes and 100,000 tracked clicks a month.
