For individuals

Personal link shortener for creators, freelancers and everyone else

Letlink gives one person short links they can name, QR codes they can print and click counts they can check from a phone — free to start, and on your own domain when you want it.

Short answer

A personal link shortener is a URL shortener for one person’s own links — a portfolio, a newsletter, a shop, a talk’s slides — that lets you choose the short code and see how often each link is clicked. Letlink is free for 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month with custom back-halves, 3 QR codes and 7 days of history, plus free iPhone, iPad and Android apps. Solo at $3.90 a month adds your own domain, 200 QR codes, 30 days of history and smart links such as an Instagram profile link.

Features

What one person gets from Letlink

Name your links

Type your own back-half — letl.ink/portfolio, letl.ink/talk-slides — so the link says where it goes and is easy to say out loud. Leave it blank for a random code.

Free mobile apps

Create links, watch clicks arrive and design QR codes from the free Letlink app for iPhone, iPad and Android, in sync with the web dashboard.

QR codes in your colours

Generate a QR code for a link with your colours and logo for a business card, a poster or a slide. Scans are counted apart from clicks.

Your own domain on Solo

Point a subdomain such as go.yourname.com at custom.letl.ink and your short links carry your name, with SSL issued automatically.

An Instagram profile link

On Solo, the Instagram profile link type builds the profile URL from your username, and the App Store type opens the right store for your app.

Know what got clicked

See clicks by country, device, referrer and hour of day for every link, with bots left out of the count.

A ping on Telegram or Discord

On Solo, get a Telegram or Discord message every time one of your links is clicked.

Use cases

What individuals shorten

Creators and streamers

A memorable link to read out in a video or podcast, and a count of how many listeners actually followed it.

Freelancers and job seekers

A short link to a portfolio or CV on your own domain, and a ping when it is opened.

Speakers and teachers

A QR code on the last slide that opens the slides or the reading list, counted by scan.

Side projects

Links to a newsletter, a small shop or an app, compared by where the clicks came from.

FAQ

Personal link shortener: questions and answers

Anything else? Talk to us — or read the help center.

What is a personal link shortener?

A personal link shortener is a URL shortener used by one person for their own links, letting them pick the short code and see how many times each link is clicked. Letlink does this free for 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month, and adds your own domain on Solo at $3.90 a month.

Is it really free?

Yes. The free plan needs no credit card and has no trial clock: 1,000 links, 1,000 tracked clicks a month, 3 QR codes and 7 days of click history, with custom back-halves, split tests and analytics on every link. Links keep redirecting if you pass the click allowance; only the counting pauses until the next month.

Can I use my own name as the domain?

Yes, from Solo at $3.90 a month. Use a subdomain of a domain you own, such as go.yourname.com, add a CNAME record pointing at custom.letl.ink, and verify it. The SSL certificate is issued automatically.

Is there a Letlink app for my phone?

Yes. The Letlink app is free on iPhone, iPad and Android. You can create short links, design QR codes and watch clicks arrive live, and everything stays in sync with the web dashboard.

Can I make a QR code without an account?

Yes. The free QR code generator at letl.ink/free-qr-code-generator makes styled QR codes with no sign-up. If you want scans counted, create a short link in your account and generate its QR code there: Free includes 3, Solo 200.

Can I see who clicked my link?

No. You see what clicked, not who: country, device, browser, referrer and time for each visit, plus unique visitor counts. Letlink does not identify people or sell visitor data.
