Traffic channels report
Every referrer is sorted into Direct, Search, Social, Email & messaging and Referral sites, so you can see what share of a link’s traffic social carried at a glance.
Social channels
Letlink shows which social platforms send people to your site and when they click, so you can put effort into the channels that work and post at the hours your audience is there.
Short answer
Social media link tracking measures how many people click your links on each social platform, so channels can be compared on what they deliver rather than on likes. Letlink sorts every click into traffic channels with a Social bucket, lists the platforms behind it — Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Reddit, Pinterest — and shows the busiest hour and weekday. The free plan tracks 1,000 clicks a month; Solo tracks 10,000 for $3.90.
Features
Every referrer is sorted into Direct, Search, Social, Email & messaging and Referral sites, so you can see what share of a link’s traffic social carried at a glance.
Below the channel totals, Top sources lists the individual hosts, so Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn sit side by side rather than lumped together.
The When people click card names the busiest hour and weekday for each link, with 24-hour and 7-day histograms. Schedule the next post for the hour the last one actually got clicks.
Give each platform its own short code — /spring-ig, /spring-tt — and the comparison no longer depends on whether an app sent a referrer.
From Solo, an Instagram profile link or a device-aware link sends phones and desktops to different places behind one short code.
See how many distinct devices clicked and how many came back, so a viral post is not confused with one fan opening the link ten times.
On Growth, recorded clicks can be delivered server-side to Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit conversions APIs, so organic link clicks show up where you run your ads.
Use cases
A weekly report that ranks platforms by clicks to the site, not by follower growth, with the hours to schedule next week’s posts.
One short link in each platform’s bio and posts, so you know whether TikTok or YouTube actually sends people to your shop or newsletter.
The same announcement on five platforms, each with its own short code, and one dashboard that shows which carried the launch.
Tag paid posts and organic posts with different UTM campaigns behind separate links and compare what each brings in.
For a clean comparison, create one short link per platform. For one bio link everywhere, use a single link and read the platforms from Top sources.
In the dashboard choose Create link, pick Link with UTM, set source to the platform (instagram, tiktok) and medium to social, and give each a short code you will recognise.
Put each link in that platform’s bio, post, story or video description.
The workspace Analytics page shows traffic channels, top sources and a ranked table of every link. Open a link’s stats page for its busiest hour and weekday.

Social media link tracking counts the clicks your links receive on each social platform, so you can compare channels by the traffic they actually send. Letlink records every click with its referrer, sorts it into a Social bucket, lists the platforms behind it and shows when people clicked. The free plan tracks 1,000 clicks a month.
One link per platform is the more reliable comparison, because each short code’s clicks belong to that platform even when the app sends no referrer. A single shared link is simpler for a bio used everywhere; Letlink then splits its traffic by referring host in Top sources. Many teams do both: one bio link, plus a separate tagged link per campaign post.
A click that arrives without a referrer header counts as Direct. Some apps open links in a way that does not pass one on, so part of their traffic lands there. A separate short link per platform attributes those clicks anyway, because the short code itself tells you where it was posted.
Open a link’s stats page and read the When people click card: it names the busiest hour and weekday and shows both as histograms. The workspace Analytics page shows the same pattern across all your links. Post the next link close to the hour the previous ones were clicked.
No. Letlink shows what clicked, not who — the platform, country, device, browser and time of each click, plus unique visitors counted by device. It does not identify people or their social accounts.
Yes, on Growth at $8.90 a month. Recorded clicks can be delivered server-side to the Meta Conversions API, TikTok Events API and the LinkedIn, Pinterest, Snapchat and Reddit conversions APIs, and to GA4 from Solo. Ad click IDs such as fbclid and ttclid are also passed on to your destination.
