A link per call to action
Give the hero button, the product link and the footer link their own short codes, and the link’s stats page tells you which one readers actually used — not just that the email got a click.
Email campaigns
Letlink puts a short link you own behind every call to action in your emails, so you can see which link in which send was clicked — and compare it with every other channel in one place.
Short answer
Email link tracking records each click on a link inside an email, so you know which message, which link and which campaign moved readers to act. Letlink does it with a short link per call to action: every click is logged with time, country, device, browser and the UTM campaign of the send, on the free plan for 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month, or 10,000 a month on Solo for $3.90. It counts clicks, not opens.
Features
Give the hero button, the product link and the footer link their own short codes, and the link’s stats page tells you which one readers actually used — not just that the email got a click.
Create each link as a Link with UTM and set source, medium and campaign per send — newsletter, march-digest. The tags are stored on the link and shown next to its clicks, on webhook payloads and in Zapier.
The When people click card names the busiest hour and weekday for a link. Compare two sends and move the next one to the hour your list actually reads its mail.
Every click carries country, device type, operating system and browser, so you can see whether a send was read on phones or at desks, and in which markets.
Crawlers and preview fetchers Letlink recognises are never recorded as clicks, and with Block bots on (the default) they never reach the destination either.
Sent the wrong URL, or the offer page moved? Edit the destination of the short link and every copy already sitting in inboxes follows. An ESP-rewritten link cannot be changed after the send.
The same workspace tracks your social, print and QR links, so a launch report shows email clicks beside everything else. Send clicks to GA4 from Solo, or to Segment, Mixpanel and webhooks from Growth.
Use cases
One UTM link per issue and per main link, so you can see which story pulled the most readers and whether this week beat last week.
A short link per step in the sequence shows which follow-up got a prospect to open the case study or book the demo. Add a Slack alert to hear about it as it happens.
Receipts, shipping notices and onboarding emails carry links too. Track the review request, the app download or the help article and see which ones customers use.
Give a sponsor in your newsletter its own short link and report exactly how many readers clicked through, by country and device.
In the dashboard choose Create link, pick Link with UTM, paste the destination and set source (newsletter), medium (email) and campaign (the send’s name). Give it a readable short code.
Create one link per button or text link you want to compare. Use the same campaign value across a send so they group together.
Use the short links in your email editor exactly where the long URLs would go, then send yourself a test and click each one.
Open each link’s stats page for clicks, unique visitors, country, device and the hour readers clicked. Export to CSV to put the numbers in your campaign report.

Email link tracking records clicks on the links inside an email, so you know which message and which link a reader acted on. With Letlink you put a short link behind each call to action; every click is logged with time, country, device, browser and the send’s UTM campaign. The free plan covers 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month.
No. Letlink counts clicks on links, not email opens. Open tracking relies on a hidden image that loads when an email is displayed, and it has become unreliable: Apple Mail Privacy Protection, for example, loads images on the reader’s behalf, so opens are reported whether or not anyone read the message. A click on a link is a deliberate action, which is why it is the number worth tracking.
No. You see what clicked, not who: the link, time, country, device, browser and campaign of each click, plus unique visitor counts based on a device hash. Letlink does not identify individual people. If you need per-subscriber activity, your email platform’s own reports are the place for that.
Email platforms report clicks per send inside their own tool. A short link you own adds three things: you can change the destination after the email has gone out, the same link’s clicks can be compared with social, print and QR traffic in one workspace, and the history stays with you if you switch platforms. Both can run together.
Desktop and phone mail apps usually open links without sending a referrer, so those clicks land in the Direct bucket of the traffic channels report. Webmail such as Gmail or Outlook on the web often does send one, and those clicks appear under Email & messaging. A separate link or UTM campaign per send attributes the click no matter which app opened it.
Some corporate mail systems open links to check them before the message reaches the reader. Bots and crawlers Letlink recognises are never counted, and Block bots refuses them by default. A scanner that presents itself as an ordinary browser can still look like a click, so treat a burst of clicks seconds after a send to a business list with some care.
It is free for 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks a month with 7 days of history. Solo at $3.90 a month raises that to 10,000 clicks, 30 days of history, a custom domain and GA4 delivery; Growth at $8.90 gives 100,000 clicks a month and a year of history. Yearly billing takes 20% off.
